I’m pleased to announce my association with Community Living Oshawa/Clarington’s “Make a House a Home” campaign. Community Living Oshawa/Clarington is hoping to raise $350,000 to allow them to make the necessary repairs and modifications to houses they own in the region for the use of people with intellectual disabilities.

As a fundraiser for the campaign, I will be participating in the “Mr./Ms. Community Living Comedy Auction”. This unique, first time event is Chaired by Rocky Varcoe of Class Act Dinner Theater.

Along with myself, nine other key individual people within our community have accepted the nomination to become Mr./Ms. Community Living Oshawa/Clarington.

The nominee whose auction items raised the most dollars at the Mr./Ms. Community Living Comedy Auction event will be crowned Mr./Ms. Community Living Oshawa/Clarington.

Wow - what a phenomenal event! While we are still waiting to hear the final tally of dollars raised, I have no doubt it will be an impressive amount. My fellow nominees really stepped up to the plate and delivered for this special night! There were tables all around the room with all manner of tempting goodies, from priceless sports memorabilia to rare vintage wines & everything in between - there was something for every taste and every budget. This bidding was fast and furious and the laughs were many as all were entertained by comedians Alan Shain & Tony Krolo while in between, Eric Lambier entertained with piano and song.

At the conclusion of the evening, I was delightfully pleased to be chosen as this year's Ms Community Living!!

I wish to extend my most sincere appreciation to my business associates, colleagues, clients & friends who came together with me in this event with donations of auction items and cash to make for a very impressive display of auction items on my tables.

Setting up for the big night on the morning of. Wow, there sure are a lot of items! We have some truly incredible donors and supporters!		All set up and just waiting for the bidding to begin!

Incredible silent auction items as far as the eye can see!				The live auction item was a big hit!

		Singer/pianist Eric Lambier entertained the guests throughout the event.	Rocky Varoce, of Class Act Dinner Theater was the Event Chair and master of ceremonies.	Bidding was lively throughout the evening!

Auctioneer, Ken Shaw, of CTV News kept everyone enthusiastically bidding until one of a kind items were SOLD!		Joe Tilly, of CTV news addresses the guests at the conclusion of the auction.	Your Ms. Community Living 2009/2010 is crowned!	Danny Mandzuk & I celebrate at the end of the evening!
