IT TAKES EXPERTS TO BUY AND SELL A HOUSE

Buying or selling a home is a big business transaction.  That’s why it’s so important to select, in advance, an experienced team of experts and professionals you can trust.  These skilled and knowledgeable individuals can vary, but usually include the services of a Realtor, a Lender, a Lawyer, a Home Inspector and an Insurance Agent. Click the link on the right for more information.

FAIR MARKET VALUE (formal definition)

You hear it all the time when people are talking real estate, so just what is "Fair Market Value" anyway? Click the link on the right for more information.

SELLING YOUR HOME? MAKE SURE THE PRICE IS RIGHT!

"Home buyers look at houses in ranges," says Supple. Set a price that's too high and they'll think that your house is too steep for their wallet and they won't even bother to take a look at it. Click the link on the right for more information.

PREPARING A HOUSE FOR SALE

Many buyers peruse neighbourhoods looking at listed properties from the outside before inquiring with the listing agent to show them the inside.  A first impression is hard to shake and if the prospective buyer doesn’t like the house from the outside, they probably won’t inquire at all. To get them past the front door, you need to add some curb appeal.  Here’s a list of items that will definitely add value to your home. Click the link on the right for more information.

PREPARING FOR A SHOWING

It’s very important that your home shows well.  We’re also aware that it can’t always be perfect.  After all, you and your family must live there, too. Click the link on the right for more information.

WHAT HAPPENS DURING A SHOWING?

Everything is going to be fine.  The agent has called in advance and you have made your last minute preparations as indicated in “Preparing for a Showing”.It is always best if you vacate the home for all showings. If this is absolutely not possible, then adhere to the following guidelines: Click the link on the right for more information.

WHEN AN OFFER IS MADE

 1.     PRESENTING THE OFFER

Be assured that as soon as I am aware that a written offer to purchase has been signed, I will contact you  immediately.  The timing may be inopportune but it’s usually best to move ahead rapidly to consider the contract.  Please note that when I call you, I may or may not yet be aware of the terms of the offer.  When I have the contract in hand, I will study it closely and review each of the terms and conditions with you to your complete understanding and satisfaction. VINEGAR: (ALMOST) THE ONLY CLEANER YOU WILL EVER NEED!
FINTRAC COMPLIANCE

What you need to know

The Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada, or FINTRAC, collects, analyzes and discloses financial information and intelligence on suspected money laundering and terrorist financing activities. It was created as part of a Canadian government initiative to fight money laundering and terrorist financing, both domestically and internationally.

Businesses and industries who must report to FINTRAC are required to “know their clients” and asking for ID is one way to do that. Click the link on the right for more information.

HOME INSPECTIONS

When a home inspection is being completed on your home, it is best that you leave so that the Inspector, Real Estate Agent and Buyer(s) can expedite the process on the inspection. Click the link on the right for more information.

RETURN ON RENO INDEX

Every year, hundreds of thousands of homes of every style, shape and size are bought and sold across this country. In spite of all the differences, many of them have one very important thing in common; a RE/MAX Professional who is the driving force behind the deal. RE/MAX Agents buy and sell more homes in your area than anybody. Click the link on the right for more information.

WINTERIZING YOUR HOME FOR SAVINGS!

Winterizing Your Home can Save You Money!

During the cold winter months, homeowners in most of the country find it necessary to turn on the heaters to keep warm. You can save energy when heating your home by taking the time to winterize for maximum energy savings.

Due to increasing energy costs, winter heating will consume an increasingly larger portion of a household's energy budget. That's why it's important to check your home to ensure that your heating dollars aren't being wasted.
