Warm Temperatures = Hot Market!

Spring has most definitely sprung in the Durham Region & southern Kawartha Lakes! Robins have been spotted, and the frost is popping yard signs out of the ground everywhere! The market is exceptional for homes priced under $350,000 right now with many selling within days of being listed - some even with multiple offers! We are even seeing movement in the luxury high end home market fueled by interest rates that are still at historical all time lows.

Topics in this edition include:

  • As a Buyer or Seller, why work with the Dianna Mandzuk Team?
  • Spring Cleaning Tips
  • Mr./Mrs. Community Living - Get Involved in Your Community!

January 2010

A Fresh Start!

Believe it or not, we are only a few short weeks away from the beginning of the Spring Market!  Yes, here in the office we gear up in late January in anticipation of the coming flurry of activity that warmer weather and melting snows bring year after year.  Aside from the more commonly discussed long-term cyclical nature of the real estate market, there is also a fairly predictable annual pattern - this is where the terms "Spring Market" and "Fall Market" come from.

Are you thinking of spring already? The spring market really isn't as far off as you might think! Call a member of the Dianna Mandzuk Team to discuss your plans for hitting the spring market "just right"!

November 2009

It's the Cozy Time of Year!

For some, it's a sad but true fact of life when you live in Canada that the glorious colours & scents of fall eventually turn to the chill of winter. This is the time of year when family's cocoon & spend more time indoors with each other - unless you're a hockey family - that's another matter entirely!  Typically, we see a moderate slowing of the read estate market as we head into December and thoughts turn towards the holidays.

Summer is finally here!

Without a doubt, this year is proving to be interesting in the housing market. Buyers need to be aware of the basic fundamentals in any "house hunt". Save smart for the down payment; the larger it is, the more beneficial it will be to narrow your bottom line. Don't over spend; you don't have to buy a house at the very top of your affordability. Understand the market, trends, comparables, pricing; or work with someone you trust who does, like a member of the Dianna Mandzuk Team.
